BACKGROUND

As a public university (UA) that also produces graduates in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), UMPSA has made OSH one of the university's main agendas. This award has been identified as one of the methods to enhance the implementation of OSH at the departmental level in line with UMPSA’s OSH targets to foster a proactive OSH culture among UMPSA members.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the award are to:

  • Recognize the roles and continuous improvement efforts implemented by departments in creating and improving a safer, more conducive, and health risk-free working environment for UMPSA members;
  • Enhance the job satisfaction of UMPSA members, which will be reflected in increased productivity, research, work quality, and graduate quality; and
  • Acknowledge the commitment and hard work of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JKKP) – at the departmental level – in implementing UMPSA’s OSH agenda.
