BACKGROUND

The purpose of this award is to recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by UMPSA members as well as industry or community partners for their involvement in industry-community engagement activities and programs. It also aims to serve as a catalyst for increasing the sense of responsibility among UMPSA members to contribute their knowledge and expertise toward the development of industry and community.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this award are to:

  • Provide recognition and appreciation to UMPSA members who have actively collaborated with industry in activities related to education, research, and services (for all academic and non-academic staff);
  • Recognize individuals among academic staff and management, professional, and support staff who are actively involved in associations or organizations within and outside UMPSA and voluntarily contribute to community service; and
  • Acknowledge and appreciate industry or community partners for their sustainable collaboration in the implementation of high-impact industry and community engagement programs or projects.

CRITERIA / ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

i) Open to all UMPSA staff except members of the AKIM secretariat;
ii) Must be verified by the Head of Department;
iii) Self-nomination, nomination by colleagues, or by the Head of Department is allowed;
iv) Nominees must not have received this award in the two previous years, specifically during Innovation Quality Day 2023 and Innovation Quality Day 2024
