UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC AWARD (AAU)
BACKGROUND
The University Academic Award (AAU) is a prestigious annual award by University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). This award was first introduced in 2009 through the Excellent Lecturer Award to appreciate the contributions of academic staff who have demonstrated excellence and creativity in teaching and learning. It also serves as recognition by the university for academic staff who have shown dedication and commitment in shaping outstanding and holistic students.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the AAU are to:
- Recognise the contributions and expertise of UMPSA academic staff in the field of Teaching and Learning (T&L);
- Encourage and motivate academic staff to strive harder in achieving university excellence by producing quality human capital through teaching, supervision, learning, and related activities; and
- Enhance academic staff motivation through innovative and creative approaches in teaching and learning.

The University Academic Award (AAU) is divided into two main award categories:

- Social Science Category

Applicants may download the nomination form at the following link:

Applicants or their representatives must submit the completed nomination form, verified by the Head of Department, to the Centre for Academic Innovation and Competitiveness (CAIC).
